1. Preheat oven to 200°C/Gas 6. Place strawberries in the pie dish and sprinkle over caster sugar, vanilla and ground almonds. 2. Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl and add butter. Rub together with hands to make a crumble and add Demerara sugar. 3. Tip on to strawberries in an even layer and press the edges with the back of a spoon. Scatter flaked almonds on top. Bake for 30 minutes until crumble is pale gold.
